Meet Zach

Zach Garza is passionate about fathering because the Lord used a spiritual father to help him overcome his fatherless past. Out of his passion, he founded the Dallas-based Forerunner Mentoring Program in 2011 and grew it into a flourishing organization serving hundreds of families and faithfully stewarding a $1.2M budget.

In 2018, Garza founded "You Can Mentor", a non-profit that helps equip and encourage mentors and mentoring organizations all across the world. He also has a podcast and a book by the same title. Zach now focuses his time on helping others in the realm of mentoring, discipleship, and fathering.

In 2021, Zach and his mentor, Steve Allen, founded “Ten Thousand Fathers”, a ministry to help men thrive in their four main roles. Their emphasis is on building up Godly fathers who know their identity as sons, ensuring their wives flourish, being intentional with their children, and being surrounded by brothers who can encourage them along the way.

His new book, Tell Me About Your Father, guides people on a journey to identify the hurts from their father and how to process and heal those pains so they can be set free.

Zach and his wife Sara live in Waco, Texas with their three children Zach Jr., Stephen, and Joanna. He loves spending time with his family, playing basketball, and eating tacos.
